Here’s how Android users can soon access their files through Microsoft Windows’ File Explorer
Microsoft is currently experimenting with a new feature that allows users to access their Android phones directly from the File Explorer in Windows 11. Functionality of the new Windows 11 feature
When your Android device is integrated with File Explorer, it looks similar to the standard USB devices on the left. It performs operations such as copying and moving files from PC and Android, renaming and deleting files. It takes much less time than using the existing Phone Link app.

Steps to use the new feature
As the feature is still in the testing phase, users have to wait for the official public release of the feature. However, users can still try the feature by signing up for the Windows Insider program. By joining any Windows 11 preview channel as a tester, users can experience all the upcoming features that Microsoft plans to release. To explore this update, users need devices running Android 11 or higher. Eligible users can enable this new feature by:

- Select bluetooth and devices

Users will see a prompt that includes a toggle button that allows you to grant access to File Explorer, granting permissions to notifications and camera access.
